Stampin' Up! Freezin' Fun Skiing Bunny Winter Card

I don't think this little bunny, from the Stampin' Up! Freezin' Fun Stamp Set, realized it wasn't on the bunny slope. ... was that a bad pun? lol

Seriously, look at this bunny flying down this deep slope! It looks like a ton of fun, doesn't it? Do I have the courage to do that? No, so I'll live vicariously through this little one.

Cardstock Measurements

  • Card Base: Balmy Blue Cardstock measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" (landscape/horizontal orientation)

Instructions for Assembly

  1. Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score all cardstock and DSP as described above

  2. Stamp the bunny, one large tree, and one small tree with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad on Whisper White cardstock

  3. Color and shade the stamped bunny

  4. Color and shade the stamped trees

  5. Die cut the bunny and trees

  6. Adhere the DSP layer to the card base

  7. Adhere the largest tree directly to the DSP layer

  8. Adhere the small tree (I chose to use Stampin' Dimensionals to give it an added pop)

  9. Die cut a snow bank / hill (I chose to position the die at a significant angle to create the steep slope)

  10. Adhere the die cut slope

  11. Adhere the bunny

  12. Stamp the wind behind the bunny in Basic Gray ink

  13. Stamp the sentiment directly on the DSP layer in Basic Gray ink

My Inspiration

This card was inspired by my crafty friends Barry & Jay of Mitosu Crafts. While attending their live video tutorial, I crafted along and created the same card. Unfortunately, I left the card unattended and one of my cats nibbled on it... a lot! So, instead of recreating the exact card, I made this one featuring DSP (as opposed to ink blending the background as done on the original card) and thought I'd share Mitosu Crafts' video with you for additional inspiration.
