Welcome to The Stamping Nook!

Hello and welcome to The Stamping Nook!  My name is Krista.  I’m an avid crafter of all types and mediums.  Documenting life through scrapbooking is second nature to me -- it is essentially my diary, but I appreciate the art of card making most of all.  Why?  In the digital age, mailing cards via good ol’ snail mail is practically unheard of – while it might seem like sending a parcel is an ancient way of the past, I see this as an opportunity to introduce (or reintroduce) the thoughtful act of sending a handmade card to the people in our lives -- whether it is for a holiday, a special occasion, or for no reason at all except to say "thinking of you" -- will be a big surprise and is guaranteed to put a smile on their face.  #HappyMail  =)

Why Stampin' Up!

In 2016, I was visiting family in Florida and I tagged along with my sister to a card class hosted by an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I was so impressed with the quality of the products -- they're far superior to what I was using for my scrapbooking projects.  The demonstrator did an excellent job describing the products, showing us how to use them in various ways, and provided us with materials to make a card.  I was immediately hooked -- I knew I found an amazing new hobby.  The demonstrator didn't pressure us to place an order but you bet I did right there on the spot.  All of the stamps, cardstock, embellishments, etc. were, as I mentioned, superior in quality to what I purchased in craft stores, but the product that I had to immediately start collecting were the  Stampin' Up!'s ink pads.  They're unparalleled in quality.  Then, the collection of stamps, dies, and cardstock followed.

I'll be honest with you here -- I became addicted and wanted everything, so it made sense for me to sign up as a hobby demonstrator purely for the discount.  By 2019, I was confident in my card-making skills and felt the desire to share my passion with as many people as possible.  I set a goal for 2020 to transform my demonstratorship into a small business -- in May 2020, The Stamping Nook was formed.  I'm so glad I took the leap because I have met so many people through my classes and events, social media, and my VIP Facebook Group -- a safe and fun place for crafters to network, share their projects, ask questions, get ideas, etc.
