It's my official return to crafting and blogging after battling a severe period of depression. If you are a member of The Crafting in The Stamping Nook Facebook Group, you've seen the details about my absence and struggles. I'm over the hump now and returning to crafting -- a very powerful form of therapy for me! And, it is a great time to return -- the "holiday" mini catalog is out and it is Sale-A-Bration time! I was so excited to open my box of new supplies and start using them right away.
This card features the Peaceful Deer bundle and a lot of the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper / Patterned Paper (currently free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration). This is a quick and easy card to make because the DSP does most of the work, so it was the perfect card to make as I get back into the swing of things.
Peaceful Deer Card Recipe
Ingredients
Stamp Set: Peaceful Deer
Dies: Tailor Made Tags, Stitched Rectangle Dies
Punches: Deer Builder Punch, Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
Ink Pad Colors: Crumb Cake, VersaMark WaterMark Stamp Pad (embossing ink)
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Garden Green, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper (DSP/Patterned Paper): Peaceful Prints DSP (free with $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration)
Stampin' Blends: Crumb Cake (light)
Ribbon & Trim: Linen Thread
Embellishments: Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Embossing Powder: Metallics Embossing Powder (gold)
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals
Tools
Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder, acrylic stamping blocks
Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (die cutting machine)
Anti-Static Powder Pouch or Tool (such as EK Success Powder Tool or Ranger Ink Anti-Static Pouch)
Take Your Pick (the putty end makes picking up and adhering gems/sequins super easy!)
Low tack tape for holding dies in place when running them through the SUCE, such as washi tape or, my absolute favorite, "Spellbinders - Best Ever Craft Tape" (yes, that is what it is named; it can be found from various online shops)

Heat Embossing
Cardstock Measurements (Imperial)
Card Base: Sahara Sand measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Layer #1: DSP measuring 5 1/4" x 4" (die cut with second largest rectangle stitched die)
Layer #2: DSP measuring 5" x 3 3/4" (die cut with third largest rectangle stitched die)
Layer #3: Very Vanilla measuring approximately 3 3/4" x 2" (die cut with second largest tag die)
Layer #4: DSP featuring the patterned paper with the deer (tip: after punching the deer, color the white edges with the light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends marker)
Layer #5 - Inside: Garden Green measuring 5 1/4" x 4"
Layer #6 - Inside: Very Vanilla measuring 5" x 3/4"
