Stampin' Up! Quiet Meadow Thinking of You Card for the Cards for Kindness Initiative

This card brings me a sense a peace and tranquility--it features the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set and Meadow Dies. This is a great bundle that can easily be overlooked, but I'm glad I added it to my collection. Flowers, background patterns, and greetings--you'll find all these things in the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set. Put them all together for perfect projects! Choose one greeting, flower, and pattern or bring several of them together for a collage effect. You're sure to convey a positive message.

Card Tutorial - Recipe

Ingredients

  • Stamp Set: Quiet Meadow

  • Dies: Meadow Dies

  • Ink Pads: Pale Papaya, Basic Gray

  • Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Basic White, Pale Papaya

  • Embossing Folder: Bark 3D

  • Ribbon & Trim: Baker's Twine Essential Pack (white)

  • Coloring Tools: Sponge Daubers (1)

  • Adhesives: Stampin' Seal, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, and Elmer's Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive (optional)

*the non-Stampin' Up! products mentioned are my personal preference and are not endorsed by Stampin' Up!; I do not receive commissions or affiliate payments for mentioning these products

TIP: a multi-purpse spray adhesive lightly sprayed to the back of the delicate die cut stems will help keep the bouquet arrangement together as you adhere the bouquet in place; using a spray adhesive is also a great way to adhere any type of intricate and delicate die cuts to avoid using a liquid glue that tends to flood out from underneath the cut cardstock and onto the cardstock

Tools

  • Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder, acrylic stamping blocks

  • Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Cardstock Measurements

  • Card Base: Smoky Slate measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

  • Layer #1: Basic White measuring 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Layer #2 - Inside: White measuring 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Sentiment: Pale Papaya measuring 3 1/8" x 1"

  • Die Cuts: Basic White

  3. Die cut the sentiment die from the Pale Papaya cardstock

  4. Die cut four (4) of the tall and skinny stems

  7. Apply a darker coat of Pale Papaya ink, with a sponge dauber, to the floral stem

  8. Adhere the embossed layer to the card base with Stampin' Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue

  9. Arrange the die cut tall and skinny stems in a fanned out style

  10. Add the floral stem centered on top of the tall stems

  11. Tie the bouquet together in a knot with white baker's twine

  12. Adhere the bouquet to the front of the card base with spray adhesive or the adhesive of your choice

  13. Gently lift the center floral stem and add Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the back and adhere down to the card

  14. If needed, apply a small amount of liquid glue to sections of the bouquet stems that may need to be secured in place

  15. Stamp the sentiment on the die cut Pale Papaya cardstock with Basic Gray ink

  16. Adhere the sentiment to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals

  17. On the inside layer of Basic White cardstock, stamp the flower bouquet once or twice, in Basic Gray ink, on a left angle from the bottom right edge of the cardstock

Find all my events and classes in one place! Have you ever used Meetup? What is Meetup? Meetup is a service used to organize online groups that host in-person and virtual events for people with similar interests. My vision for this group is to gather crafters together -- online and/or in person (when possible) -- for a fun time creating projects, learning new techniques, and of course, meeting other likeminded crafters. This group is for anyone and everyone, no matter your skill level. This group is open to everyone, globally!

I schedule events for making cards, scrapbooking, gift packaging, and more. I also coordinate my card classes to go via Meetup.

Crafting In The Stamping Nook Facebook Group

As a creative coach, I am here to help you with your projects -- I do not have to be your demonstrator for me to help! We are a community of crafters learning from each other! Members are encouraged to share crafty and DIY projects of all types (and of any brand), share tips, and of course meet others with the same crafting passion. I often share my projects, tutorials, etc., and of course, incorporate fun activities as well (prizes included)! I hope you join & participate so I can learn from you too! Everyone is welcome -- demonstrators included!
