Ingredients

  • Stamp Set: Wrapped Bouquet

  • Dies: Wrapped Flowers Dies

  • Cardstock: Thick White, Basic Black, Magenta Madness

  • Designer Series Paper: Peony Garden DSP

  • Ink Pads: Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive, Magenta Madness

  • Stampin' Blends: Highland Heather, Purple Posy, Daffodil Delight

  • Embellishments: 2020–2022 In Color Enamel Dots

  • Embossing Folder: Subtle 3D

  • Ribbon & Trim: Linen Thread

  • Adhesives: Stampin' Seal and/or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

  • Optional Adhesives: Mini Glue Dots, Seal+, Tear & Tape

Tools

  • Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder

  • Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

  • Coloring with Stampin' Blends (Alcohol Markers)

  • Dry Embossing Designer Series Paper (DSP)

Cardstock Colors, Layers and Measurements

  • Card Base: Thick White (4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2")

  • Layer #1: Basic Black (5 1/4" x 4")

  • Layer #2: Magenta Madness (5" x 3 3/4")

  • Layer #3: DSP (4 3/4" x 3 1/2")

  • Layer #4 - Inside: White (5 1/4" x 4")

  • Stamping & Die Cutting: White

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score all cardstock and/or DSP as described above

  2. Stamp the small bouquet of flowers in Old Olive ink on white cardstock

  3. Color the flowers with Stampin' Blends

  4. Stamp the newspaper in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock

  5. Stamp the "For You" sentiment on white cardsotck

  6. Die cut all stamped images -- flowers, newspaper, and sentiment (using the small tag die)

  7. Assemble the newspaper and tuck the flowers inside, adhering with liquid glue or Seal to keep the folded newspaper together and the flowers tucked inside

  8. Wrap the linen thread around the newspaper twice, loop the linen thread through the sentiment die cut, and secure with a tied knot; adhere the linen thread to the newspaper with the adhesive of your choice (Seal, Seal+, Mini Glue Dots, Tear & Tape, or Multipurpose Liquid Glue)

  9. Run the DSP through the die cutting machine with the Subtle 3D folder

  10. Adhere the DSP to the Magenta Madness layer; then adhere both layers to the Basic Black layer

  11. Adhere the combined layers to the cardbase

  12. Adhere the bouquet of flowers to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals

  13. Adorn the front of the card with 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots (note: the Bumblebee colored dots resemble the Daffodil Delight flowers)

  14. Stamp the inside layer (Layer #4) with the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink

  15. ink up the larger bouquet of flowers stamp in Magenta Madness ink and partially stamp both the bottom left and bottom right corners of the inside layer of white cardstock

  16. Adhere the inside layer to the card
