The Crafty Collaborations Team
The Crafty Collaborations team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. Each month, we participate in several collaborative projects including blog hops like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today's Hop: Share it Sunday
Today is Share it Sunday for the Crafty Collaborations Team. You will see a multitude of projects (this hop has a lot of participants) that will give you a lot of new crafting inspiration.
For my Share it Sunday project, I'm back with another fan-favorite from the the Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked Bundle -- this time I paired the intricate floral die with the amazing Gilded Leafing. I lightly spritzed Magenta Madness ink on the die and gold embossed sentiment from Stampin' Up! Best Year Stamp Set. Everything combined created a gorgeous and shiny card.
Card Tutorial
Ingredients
Stamp Set: Best Year
Dies: Artistic Dies
Ink Pads: VersaMark WaterMark Stamp Pad (embossing ink)
Cardstock: Basic White, Thick Basic White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Expressions in Ink DSP
Classic Stampin' Ink Refill (Reinker): Magenta Madness
Ribbon & Trim: Simply Elegant Trim (gold)
Embossing Powder: Metallics Embossing Powder (gold)
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tear & Tape or Mini Glue Dots, and (optional) Spray adhesive (such as Elmer's Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive)
Coloring Tools: Stampin' Spritzer
Other: Heat & Stick Powder, chalk and wax paint brush, container/box to hold the Gilded Leafing, water
TIP: a multi-purpose spray is a great way to adhere intricate and delicate die cuts to avoid using a liquid glue that tends to flood out from underneath the cut cardstock and onto the card; spray lightly to the back of the die cut pieces, press onto your cardstock, and cover with a large acrylic block for a few seconds to bond the die cut piece to the card
Tools
Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder, acrylic stamping blocks
Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (SUCE = sookie)
Anti-Static Powder Pouch or Tool (such as Stampin' Up! Embossing Buddy (retired), EK Success Powder Tool or Ranger Ink - Anti-Static Pouch)
NOTE: the non-Stampin' Up! products mentioned in this tutorial are my personal preference and are not endorsed by Stampin' Up!. I do not receive commissions or affiliate payments for mentioning these products

Cardstock Measurements (Imperial)
Card Base: Thick Basic White measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Layer #1: Expressions in Ink DSP measuring 5 1/4" x 4"
DSP Strip: Expressions in Ink DSP measuring 3 1/4" x 3/4"
Sentiment: Basic White measuring 2 3/4" x ~ 3/4"
Die Cutting: Basic White measuring 4 3/4" x 4 3/4"
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score/burnish all cardstock as described above
Trim Layer #1 DSP strategically so the area of the design you like best will show on the card
Die cut the large, detailed floral die from Basic White cardstock
Add 2-3 drops of Magenta Madness reinker and a bit of water into a Stampin' Spritzer bottle; shake well
Lightly spritz the die cut flowers and set aside to dry
Prepare the sentiment layer with anti-static powder
Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark ink
Cover the sentiment in gold embossing powder and melt with a heat tool
Adhere the sentiment layer to the DSP strip; match up the right edges together; allow room under the sentiment for the DSP to show
When the spritzed flowers are dry, take the VersaMark ink pad and blot it in various spots all around the die cut cardstock (don't cover entirely)
Cover in Heat & Stick powder and melt with a heat tool (don't over-melt)
Put the die cut flower in a container with Gilded Leafing and rub the leafing all over the flower
Clean off the excess Gilded Leafing; I like to use a chalk and wax bristle paint brush
Adhere Layer #1 DSP to the front of the card base
Adhere the die cut, spritzed, and gilded flowers to the front of the card (use small amounts of liquid glue or a spray adhesive)
Loop the gold Simply Elegant Trim several times and adhere to the right side of the DSP with Tear & Tape or Mini Glue Dots
Adhere the sentiment and DSP layer on top of the looped trim with Stampin' Dimensionals
Hop Along
Now it's time to sit back, relax and hop along with the rest of the Crafty Collaborations team.

Meetup Group
Find all my events and classes in one place! Have you ever used Meetup? What is Meetup? Meetup is a service u
sed to organize online groups that host in-person and virtual events for people with similar interests. My vision for this group is to gather crafters together -- online and/or in person (when possible) -- for a fun time creating projects, learning new techniques, and of course, meeting other likeminded crafters. This group is for anyone and everyone, no matter your skill level. This group is open to everyone, globally!
I schedule events for making cards, scrapbooking, gift packaging, and more. I also coordinate my card classes to go via Meetup.
