Pansies are a gorgeous, tri-colored flower. They are a staple in my gardens every year, so imagine how excited I was when the Stampin' Up! Pansy Patch stamp set and coordinating Pansy Dies showed up in the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog! I had to have the whole Pansy Petals Suite Collection. When it arrived, it did not disappoint -- it's fabulous. This is my first card with the products -- a simple card but oh, so pretty!
Take a look at some photos of pansies from my past gardens. As you can see, purple pansies are my favorite, thus the inspiration for this card.
Card Tutorial
Ingredients
Stamp Set: Pansy Patch
Dies: Pansy Dies
Ink Pads: Gorgeous Grape, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, Soft Succulent
Cardstock: Basic White, Fresh Freesia
Embossing Folder: "Thanks" from the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folders pack
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals
Tools
Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder, acrylic stamping blocks
Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (SUCE*)
Optional: low tack tape for holding dies in place when running them through the SUCE, such as washi tape or, my absolute favorite, "Spellbinders - Best Ever Craft Tape" (yes, that is what it is named; it can be found from various online shops)
*SUCE (noun, homophone) / soo-kee): the abbreviated, short-hand name for the Stampin' Up! Cut and Emboss machine. The term SUCE was invented by Barry and Jay of Mitosu Crafts (check out their amazing YouTube videos); the term SUCE was inspired by their cat named Sukie (also pronounced soo-kee, thus creating the homophone) =)

Stamp the large pansy foreground stamp (1B in the image below) at full strength in Gorgeous Grape ink, on top of the background stamped images
Fill each flower with stamp 1D (shown in the image below) in BlackBerry Bliss
Stamp the dot image in the center of each flower in Daffodil Delight ink
Stamp the small flower bud flower background image (3A in the image below) two times in second generation with Gorgeous Grape (first, ink the stamp, stamp lightly on scrap paper, and stamp the second generation on top of both background images)
Stamp the small flower bud flower foreground image (3B in the image below) at full strenght in Gorgeous Grape ink on top of both background images
Stamp two (2) stems (Stem 1 shown in the image below) in Soft Succulent ink
Die cut all flowers and stems
Run the Thanks embossing folder through the die cutting machine on Layer #1 Basic White (5 1/2" x 3 1/4")
Adhere the embossed layer to the front of the card base
Adhere the small buds to the stems; then adhere to the front of the card base
Adhere the two large pansies to the front of the card base with Stamin' Dimensionals
Adhere Layer #2 Basic White to the inside of the card base (decorate the inside with additional stamped images or DSP, as desired)
