Stampin' Up! Rainbow of Happiness Card Featuring Ink Blending on DSP / Patterned Paper - Sneak Peek

I know many of you are are all still in holiday mode -- decorating, trying to finish shopping, wrapping gifts, and sending out all the lovely cards we made over the last few months -- so you may not be quite ready to see what's coming in the upcoming Jan-Jun Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog (i.e. the spring & summer mini catalog), but when I received my pre-order, I couldn't help myself...I had to start playing with the new Rainbow of Happiness bundle. It just brings a smile to my face. I hope it brings a smile to your face and gives you something to look forward to in January.

The Jan-Jun 2022 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog *AND* Sale-A-Bration

The new catalog launches on 04-JAN-2022. Simultaneously, we are getting the chance to earn freebies from Jan-Feb with the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) catalog. I'll be honest with you, sometimes I am "meh" about the SAB products, other times I like them a lot and can't wait to get just about all of them, but this time, I love everything in the SAB catalog and not only want them all, but need them all! For example, the DSP used on this project is a free product during SAB. I've already ordered a second pack of this bright, sunny, and cheerful patterned paper!

Mini Catalog Launch Party

I will send out physical copies of the new catalog late next week, so all of my current customers will have the catalogs in hand within two weeks, or sooner, depending on how efficient the postal system is working (lol). If you want to receive a catalog, please email me at krista@thestampingnook.com and I will include you on my mailing list.

I haven't solidified the date yet, but on either Friday, 07-JAN-2022 (my birthday!) or

Saturday, 08-JAN-2022, I will host a catalog launch party. I'll have new products to showcase, sample projects, and of course some prizes and games. And, since it is my birthday, I just might have something extra special up my sleeve! =)

Stay tuned to my newsletters and future blog posts for more details.

Now, let's get into this totes adorbs project...

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score/burnish all cardstock as described above

  2. Stamp the rainbow from the outermost arc to the innermost arc in Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green inks

  3. Fussy cut the rainbow

  4. Die cut several clouds from Basic White cardstock

  5. Blend Polished Pink in on Layer #1 DSP

  6. Apply anti-static powder, if you have it, to the Basic Black Cardstock for the sentiment

  7. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark WaterMark Stamp Pad on the Basic Black cardstock

  8. Cover the stamped sentiment with White embossing powder, then tap off excess powder

  9. Heat set the embossing powder with the heat tool

  10. Adhere Layers 1-3 to the front of the card

  11. Adhere the rainbow to the front of the card

  12. Adhere the clouds to the front of the card -- stick some directly to the card front and pop up a couple with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

  13. Trim the sentiment and adhere to the front of the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

  14. Stamp the three inner most arcs on inside of the card, slanting the arcs on an angle at the bottom right, in Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Greeen ink

The Envelope

You should never send a naked envelope! lol! When a card doesn't feature DSP, I stamp on the envelope; for cards that feature DSP, I like to adhere coordinating DSP to the back flap of the envelope.

Take a coordinating piece of DSP, measuring 6" x 2 1/2", adhere it to the back flap of the envelope and trim off excess paper.
