Stampin' Up! So Sentimental and Pierced Blooms Dies Thank You Card

Stiched flowers, you ask? "Yes, please," I respond. The Stampin' Up! Pierced Blooms Dies create delicate floral scenes, in any color combination, without the added stamping steps. With these dies, you can cut flowers in several sizes, complete with darling stitching details, plus the leaves and centers to go with them. Try them on handmade cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafts.

Card Recipe

Ingredients

  • Stamp Set: So Sentimental

  • Dies: Pierced Blooms Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies

  • Cardstock: Thick White, White, Highland Heather, Pool Party

  • Designer Series Pape (DSP)r: Playing with Patterns DSP

  • Ink Pads: VersaMark

  • Embellishments: Opal Rounds

  • Embossing Powder: Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder

  • Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

Tools

  • Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder, acrylic stamping blocks

  • Heat Tool

  • Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

  • Take Your Pick (optional)

Cardstock Measurements

  • Card Base: Thick White (5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4")

  • Layer #1: Playing with Patterns DSP (5 1/4" x 4")

  • Layer #2: White (approximately 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" before die cutting)

  • Layer #3 - Inside: White (5 1/4" x 4")

  • Stamping & Die Cutting: White, Highland Heather, Pool Party

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score all paper as described above

  2. Use the largest stitched / scalloped die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to trim Layer #2 white cardstock

  3. Die cut 1 each of the two largest flowers from Highland Heather cardstock

  4. Die cut 4 stems of leaves from Pool Party cardstock

  5. Die cut several smaller floral accent pieces from white cardstock

  6. Stamp the sentiment towards the middle of Layer #2 die cut white cardstock, positioned closer to the right side, in VersaMark ink

  7. Cover the sentiment in Silver embossing powder and heat until melted

  8. Adhere Layer #1 DSP to the cardbase

  9. Adhere Layer #2 white cardstock on top of the DSP

  10. Adhere your florals and leaves to the top of the card -- I recommend adding the two largest flowers (one on the top left of the sentiment layer and the other on the bottom right of the sentiment layer) with a Stampin' Dimensional, adhere the top accent floral pieces with liquid glue, and add the leaf die cuts under each of the flower clusters with liquid glue (tuck them under the flowers)

  11. Adorn the top of each flower with an Opal Round embellishment

  12. Decorate Layer #3 - Inside white cardstock with additional flowers, if/as desired

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

YouTube Videos Coming Mid-April 2021

We all love watching our favorite video content on YouTube and if you're anything like me, you have quite a few crafters that you watch regularly. I hope that I become one of your favorites.

My YouTube channel is up and I'm collecting followers in advance of my first video publication happening the week of April 12th, 2021. Please consider subscribing and hitting the notifications bell so you're one of the first viewers to welcome me into the YouTube demonstration and tutorial world. If the notifications bother you, by all means turn them off...but consider keeping them on for the month of April as I'm more likely to go live or post premiere videos (with live chat w/me) outside a regular schedule. =)
