The Very Versailles Stamp Set reflects the royal, grand, and classical style of French Baroque architecture. When I saw this Stamp Set, I envisioned the magnificent Palace of Versailles and used that as my inspiration to create this card. The caveat: purple is not a primary color in this architectural style, so that’s where I added my own twist (via ink blending). I did, however, use gray in the card to reflect the extensive use of natural stone during the Baroque period.

MEASUREMENTS
Whisper White Card Base: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
Whisper White Top Layer (card front): 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”
Whisper White Cardstock for Sentiment: 4” x ¾” (size varies based on the sentiment you choose)
Designer Series Paper: 5-3/8” x 4-1/8”
Optional: Whisper White 5-1/8” x 3-7/8” for the inside panel of the card
ASSEMBLY
First, cut/trim all cardstock and the DSP as described above
Top Layer of Card Front
On the Whisper White cardstock (5-1/8” x 3-7/8”) for the top layer, use the ink blending tool(s) of your choosing to blend the Highland Heather ink on an angle, starting from the top left corner moving down to the bottom right corner. Blend the ink heavily on the left side of the card, to your desired taste. Then, blend the ink lightly into the top right and middle right areas of the cardstock.
Using the draping leaves stamp from the Very Versailles Stamp Set and the basic gray ink pad, apply the stamp on the top left corners. If preferred, stamp another branch of leaves by stamping off one time (i.e. use the 2nd generation) to the bottom left corner.
Using the script font stamp from the Very Versailles Stamp Set, apply the stamp to the desired areas of your card. Mix 1st generation and 2nd generation stamping, if/as desired per your preference.
Stamp the basketweave stamp from the Comfort & Hope Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink on the bottom right of the card, if/as desired per your preference.
Using your paper snips/scissors to scrape the edges your stamped Whisper White cardstock—distress the corners and sides of the paper, per your personal preference. You may also use a paper distressing tool if you have one (if you don’t have one but would like a recommendation, contact me).
Second Layer / Mat Layer
Run the DSP of your choosing (the gray slate looking sheet from the In Good Taste DSP collection was used on this card) and the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder through your die cutting & embossing machine.
Using your paper snips/scissors to scrape the edges of your chosen DSP—distress the corners and sides of the paper, per your personal preference. You may also use a paper distressing tool if you have one (if you don’t have one but would like a recommendation, contact me).
The Inside of the Card
Optional: stamp the draping leaves stamp from the Very Versailles Stamp Set on either the card base or on the optional Whisper White 5-1/8” x 3-7/8” cut for the inside panel of the card—stamp the image on the top left corner, using 1st and 2nd generation stamping, as desired.
Putting it All Together
Adhere your top panel to the DSP using the adhesive of your choosing
Adhere the DSP layer to the front of your card base
Adhere the sentiment to the top layer of your card (use double-sided foam dimensionals if preferred)
