Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked Card for The Spot Challenge #163 - Sketch Challenge

I'm back with another card from my favorite stamp set -- Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked. This card highlights the stamp set -- the stamps are designed to create the look of alcohol ink art. I've always wanted a piece of alcohol ink art in my home and now I'm convinced it's time to by a piece and hang it in my craft room.

Card Tutorial

Ingredients

• Stamp Set: Aristically Inked

• Dies: Artistic Dies

• Punch: Treasured Tags

• Ink Pads: Memento Tuxedo Black, Magenta Madness

• Cardstock: Basic White, Basic Black

• Ribbon & Trim: Metallic Mesh Ribbon, Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon

• Adhesives: Stampin' Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Tools

• Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder, acrylic stamping blocks

• Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (SUCE*)

*SUCE (noun, homophone) / soo-kee): the abbreviated, short-hand name for the

Stampin' Up! Cut and Emboss machine. The term SUCE was invented by Barry and Jay of Mitosu Crafts (check out their amazing YouTube videos); the term SUCE was inspired by their cat named Sukie (also pronounced soo-kee, thus creating the homophone) =)

Cardstock Measurements

• Card Base: Basic White measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

• Layer #1: Basic Black measuring 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

• Layer #2: Basic White measuring 5" x 3 3/4"

• Stamping & Die Cutting: Basic White measuring 3" x 3" (for stamp;ed flower) and Basic White measuring 2 1/2" x 3/4" (for sentiment)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score all paper as described above

2. On Layer #2 Basic White (5 1/8" x 3 7/8"), stamp the long image, in Magenta Madness from the bottom of the cardstock going up filling up about 3/4 of the cardstock

3. On Basic White (2 1/2" x 3/4") stamp the largest flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink

4. Die cut the flower

5. On Basic White (2 1/2" x 3/4") stamp the sentiment image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink

6. Punch both ends of the sentiment cardstock with the Treasured MedallionTags punch

7. Tie the Metallic Mesh Ribbon and Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon together in a bow

8. Adhere Layer #1 Basic Black to the front of the card base

9. Adhere the stamped Basic White Layer #2 on top of Layer #1

10. Adhere the die-cut floral stamped mage, with Stampin' Dimensionals, to the top of the card, towards the upper left corner with Stampin' Dimensionals

11. Adhere the sentiment on an angle, from bottom left towards bottom right, with Stampin Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue

12. Adhere the bow to the black flower, above the sentiment, with Mini Glue Dots

The project is complete!
